WELFARE & SAFEGUARDING

Holland Sports Juniors Football Club is committed to its responsibilities to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people involved in grassroots football.

Know your welfare officer

At Holland Sports Juniors we take the welfare and safeguarding of all those involved at the club as a priority.

We understand that we are required to be clear about the club's responsibilities when running activities for children and young people and to help club and league personnel understand what their ‘duty of care’ towards children and young people actually means on a daily basis.

If you have questions feel free to email Mikey Dean, our clubs Welfare Officer... m-dean@hotmail.co.uk

Safeguarding policies

The club has specific welfare and safeguarding policies in line with the governing body of the sport (The FA) however if you have any concerns or questions you can access all the FA policies for safeguarding and the Surrey FA policies by clicking the button below.

Report a concern

Anyone who has a concern about the welfare of a child or the behaviour of an adult towards a child or young person under 18 years of age in football, is required to refer it to The FA Safeguarding team. The team is staffed by professionals who are experienced in dealing with these concerns.

Referring a concern can be done via the Holland Sports Juniors Welfare Officer, Mikey Dean (m-dean@hotmail.co.uk), league or County FA – all will have a designated safeguarding officer (DSO). Alternatively, you can email us directly via safeguarding@thefa.com.

If the matter is urgent and you cannot contact your club or County FA designated safeguarding officer, you can call The NSPCC 24-hour helpline on 0808 800 5000 – or if it is an emergency because a child or children are at immediate risk, then call the police or children’s social care in your area.
