The Pumas faced a strong Coney Hall Eagles side and would need to maintain their focus and intensity to keep up their unbeaten run.
A goal after just 25 seconds got the Pumas in front. The high press from Joey, Ethan and Phoenix caused chaos in the box and Ethan slotted home. Throughout the first half the Pumas remained organised and kept the pressure on. Eventually Joey fired the Pumas two up with a well taken, drilled shot into the corner of the net.
Coney Hall responded well in the second half but struggled to find any rhythm with Jack and Oli controlling the centre of the midfield. The defence of Lewis, Otis, Seb and Ewan remained calm and resolute and closed the door on any Coney attacks.
Thomas and Oli had good efforts well saved before Phoenix played Ethan in to break the side netting with his 21st goal of the season and stretched the Pumas lead to 3. Soon after, the game was put to bed with Joey pouncing on a chance to prod home for his second of the game.
A special mention must go to Sonny in goal. His awareness, handling and footwork were superb throughout the game and gave the Pumas the foundation for the victory. Well done Sonny on his 5th clean sheet of the season!!
The Pumas remain top of the league with this 4-0 victory and maintain their 100% record!
